<b>Bargteheide – NORD‘s standard asynchronous motors and frequency inverters allow for the quick and cost-efficient implementation of applications requiring relative or absolute position control (e.g. rotary tables, linear travel axes or synchronous speed control). The drive supplier provides two inverter models which are capable of replacing servo solutions. The compact NORDAC SK 530E inverter comes with an integrated POSICON position control, which allows users to approach up to 15 positions. The SK 530E is equipped with a TTL encoder input and a CANopen interface, which makes it possible to connect an absolute encoder and additional devices or an automation system. The NORDAC SK 700E frequency inverter, which is specified for a mid-to-upper level power range, is available with an optional POSICON extension module which enables users to approach up to 252 positions. This extension unit features a TTL en-coder input and an SSI interface which allows for the direct connection of abso-lute encoders. Both inverters can be operated by binary inputs or via the bus system. Thanks to a small number of parameters and a simple functional princi-ple, both models are user-friendly.
Getriebebau NORD has been developing, manufacturing and distributing drive technology since 1965. The technical sophistication of both the mechanical and the electronic components has earned NORD a leading position in the drive industry worldwide. NORD’s helical inline, helical parallel-shaft, helical-bevel, worm, and planetary gear units, with friction disc or V-belt speed variation, deliver torques from 10 Nm to 100.000 Nm. NORD motors with outputs from 0.12 kW to 200 kW range from IEC standard types to highly dynamic synchronous servo motors. Frequency inverters and digital servo controllers com-plement the product portfolio. NORD also supplies compact units integrating mechanical drive components and power electronics, like geared motors with motor-mounted frequency inverters.
