Frost & Sullivan’s summit for T&M industry focused on the potential growth opportunities for T&M equipment suppliers and needs of its users

Reflecting a robust growth in test and measurement (T&M) market in the emerging economies, the one-day summit, themed ‘Unraveling the growth opportunities in the Indian T&M Market’, held at Hotel Le Meridien, Bangalore, on 18 November 2008, served as an interactive and informative forum across the T&M supply chain right up to the end-users.

T alking of the growth opportunities in the T&M sector the F&S summit opened with Anand Rangachary’s, Managing Director, Frost & Sullivan, South Asia & Middle East, welcome address. The keynote address was presented by Venkatesh Valluri, President & Country General Manager, Agilent Technologies, & S Rangarajan, CEO, Data Patterns India Pvt Ltd. They highlighted the immense opportunities for T&M industry through the growth of key application segments of aerospace, defence, communication, electronics, and life sciences.

Shekar Gopalan, Partner-VP, Global Research, Frost & Sullivan, spoke on the Frost & Sullivan research findings, ‘Combining perspectives of T&M markets in India and globally’. There were various seminar presentations by experts encompassing topics in and around T&M.

Round-table

A round-table was organised on ‘R&D and Manufacturing in the Indian T&M industry’. The panelists were eminent industry experts. To begin with, Rangarajan, V Mahadevan, Country Manager, Electronics and Measurement Group, Agilent Technologies India Pvt Ltd; V Sudhakar, Associate Vice President & BU Head of Products Division, Yokogawa India Ltd; Vasudev Tantry, Country Head & General Manager, Anritsu India Pte Ltd; Kumar Narayan, Technology Manager, Elcoteq; Ray Almgren,Vice President, Product Marketing and Academic Relations Worldwide, National Instruments; and Rajesh Toshniwal, CEO, Toshniwal Enterprises Controls Pvt Ltd, enlightened the participants. The discussion was moderated by Gopalan.
