Baumer group, a leading Swiss multinational group in the field of automation, recently announced the formal opening of its wholly owned Indian subsidiary, Baumer India Pvt Ltd, in a grand ceremony at Pune. The company opened this office to facilitate its direct sales operations in India which can help its customers. The Indian office is fully equipped and staffed with trained techno-commercial manpower to cater to customers in the markets of the Indian subcontinent and the Middle East. The current focus of Baumer India is on sales and service. With regards to growth and market demand, it also plans to set up offices in other major cities to boost their operation in India. The product segments that Baumer caters to are sensor solutions, motion control, process instrumentation, vision technology and gluing systems. Speaking on this occasion, Sunil Hasabnis, Managing Director, Baumer India, said, “We have been working closely with the Indian automation industry and understand quite well the requirements and constraints under which Indian customers operate.” Rudiger Foerster, Member Executive Board and Head of Worldwide Sales and Marketing, Baumer Group, said, “Sighting the thriving potential for advanced and high precision technology lying within Indian automation sector, Baumer Group ventured into India.
