The robust encoder systems AWG by Inducoder have been designed for applications under extreme conditions, especially in steel industry. AWG systems are used in heavy machinery industry, in mines, on cranes, in shipbuilding and sluice building industry as well as in food industry, chemical industry, and pharmaceutical industry. Inducoder has consequentially enhanced the robust encoder system.It has stainless steel housing with protection class IP 67. It is well - equipped with a through shaft to pass the rotation to already mounted robust encoder systems, limit switch gear, cam switch or tacho sensor. Due to a housing length of only 120 mm the design of the encoder is very compact. Both flanges have a diameter of 100 mm. The shaft diameter is either 10 or 12 mm. Incremental encoders with a resolution up to 500,000 impulses per revolution are used along with absolute encoders with a resolution up to 15 bit.
