Nord Drivesystems manufactures heavy-duty industrial gear units in robust one-piece unicase housings with torques up to 200,000 Nm. Available in four sizes, the gearboxes have a power range of 2.2 kW to 1000 kW with more than 95 per cent efficiency. Thanks to a modular construction system with a wide range of components, these gears feature great flexibility for user-specific configurations. The unicase principle allows the shaft axes to be staggered, resulting in a more compact design which allows the use of larger roller bearings to guarantee a long operating life. Further advantages include increased lubricant life, high reliability, long operating life, symmetrical design, B 14 face as standard on output side and up to 6 installation configurations. Mirror image installation of the gearboxes is also possible. Housing of the same size is used for all ratios, 2-stage and 3-stage.
