Hannover Fairs India Pvt Ltd (HFI) has recently changed its name to Hannover Milano Fairs India Pvt Ltd (HFMI), after its joint venture with Fiera Milano SpA, Italy. “While the German parent company is strong in trade fairs on the technical and manufacturing sectors, the Italian one is strong in sectors such as travel, hospitality, fashion, wellness and food,” says Sudhir Patil, MD, Hannover Fairs India adding that the Indian JV is not a standalone case, but part of a larger plan for BRIC nations. HMFI will soon introduce the popular fairs of Fiera Milano as well to the Indian market, and by organising B2B events in India, HMFI will provide international companies with a trustworthy platform to enter Indian market, he adds. The next edition of the four shows MDA India, Industrial Automation India, Energy India and CeMAT India will be held in Mumbai on Dec 10-13, 2009. Proximity to manufacturing centres like Pune, Nasik, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Ahmadabad, Baroda, Indore makes Mumbai a very attractive destination, according to Patil.
