The first Automation and Power World (APW) by ABB Ltd, India, held in New Delhi, ended September 21, 2011, with overwhelmingly positive feedback from customers, partners and ABB staff from around the globe. With over 2500 customers and more than 1000 employees participating in the event over three days, starting 19 September 2011, APW turned out to be one of the biggest exhibition-cum -conference of its kind. The exhibition had the widest range of ABB products, technologies and solutions on display. The event was packed with knowledge-sharing and networking opportunities allowing the delegates to connect, learn and succeed in achieving the common goal of building a low carbon economy. During the event, ABB launched its regenerative crane drives- MoCon Robust, which will cater to the growing steel industry wherein cranes form a valuable part of operations. Also, Joseph Hogan, CEO, ABB Group and Bazmi Husain, MD, ABB India held a conference highlighting the recent advancements that ABB has made in the industry.
